Aaron Rodgers Win Third Career NFL MVP

Feb 7, 2021 8:35 AM

Aaron Rodgers has been named the NFL's MVP for the 2020 season, winning the award for the third time in his career. Rodgers received 44 out of 50 votes with Josh Allen receiving four and Patrick Mahomes earning two.

"It's an honor to win this award for the third time," Rodgers said in a prepared video acceptance speech. "2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing memorable moments, 180 straight days of having my nose hairs scraped, playing for very little fans or no [fans] the entire season. I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career. "

Rodgers joins Brett Favre, Jim Brown, Tom Brady and Johnny Unitas as three-time winners. Peyton Manning has the most at five MVPs.
